The Beatles Project

This is The Beatles Project, an ongoing series of original paintings based on songs by The Beatles. All of these paintings are for sale, so contact me if you are interested in having one. I am currently starting a new one based on "While My Guitar Gently Weeps" and influenced by the work of Dali...

Audio-Visual: A poetic recap of a high-powered night in Indianapolis.

Sarah and I went to see Pretty Lights in Indianapolis last week. Here is a poem that came from the experience. I laced it full of song titles, kinda like Gym Class Heroes did with band names in their song "Taxi Driver"... Enjoy!

ALSO: Below the poem is a link to a clip from the actual show we went to! CHECK IT OUT!

Waiting.
Waiting...
Swaying side to side.
Thousands of feet tap
To the beat of an invisible drummer.
Once An Empty Station,
Soon a City Of One.
Bodies file in
Capacity dwindling;
Temperature rising;
Hot Like Sauce.
Not one Short Line to quench Summer's Thirst
From dodging non-toxic colors-
They've been Aimin At Your Head.
Anxiety,
Excitement,
The unknown is a feeling Almost Familiar.
Waiting For Her return,
The Last Passenger arrives in time
For an unseen hand to Take The Sun Away.
Dark As The Sky, as pupils dilate,
The Time Has Come.
We're Finally Moving.
At Last I Am Free.
And Speaking Of Happiness,
I Can See It In Your Face
As we dance together under all these
PRETTY LIGHTS.
